My work is based on the creation of my own clay, a mixture of cornstarch, glue, and various binders. For 20 years, I have developed a personal repertoire that integrates emotional and psychological elements, drawing inspiration from significant historical narratives that are familiar to me. The manual process is essential; modeling allows me to create colorful configurations that form visual narratives for contemplation. “Incubated” summarizes my challenge of constructing a dual structure that symbolizes gestation. This project highlights elements that simulate an expanding organic form, inviting introspection on origin and the creative process. My starting point was to explore the possibilities of a structure that could contain an element while simultaneously offering a maximum surface area for artistic intervention. This exploration led me to reflect on the narrative that includes both an internal and an external part, proposing the idea of a container that self-fertilizes or self-generates, evoking a factor that activates life and latent destruction.
