Mary Barton
Biography
With over 25 years of professional experience, Mary T. Barton is an abstract painter and hand-built pottery artist. Art has been a lifelong passion, deeply rooted in her family’s creative legacy—both her grandmothers, her mother, and her sister were natural-born artists. Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, Mary moved to the Texas Hill Country in the late 1980s, where she continues to live and create. Working from her home studio, she produces expressive, evolving works that capture movement, emotion, and energy. "Art has always been my therapy. Whether working through difficulties or celebrating accomplishments, it has to remain the balance in my life. The motion and progression that each piece of art produces, as it’s being created, is a catalyst to maintaining my sanity. Simply put, without art—I most likely would go crazy!" Mary’s work is displayed in galleries throughout the region, offering collectors and art enthusiasts a glimpse into her artistic journey.
