Isabelle Lopez Kotara (b. 1965, BS Architecture, UT Arlington ’91 – San Antonio, Tx.) Isabelle paints with instinct. “My canvases are sound turned into color. Memory into motion.” She states A lifelong obsession with art and music drives her to create bold, aggressive expressive works that swing from the stillness of nature to the chaos of life. Her latest works dive onto the turbulence of connections – love, conflict and resilience. She transforms these experiences into visual poetry. “My art is where I tell my truths without words. Every piece is a snapshot of the wild swings my life takes. My canvases are a collision of memories, music and raw emotion – color with no rules, unfiltered translations of being alive."
